Supported Accommodation for Young People (16–18)

Helping young people build independence in a safe, supported environment

Oasis Care Uk Group Logo

Finding the right supported accommodation is about more than identifying an available room. It is about finding the right environment for a young person to feel safe, develop independence and prepare for adulthood.

At Oasis Care, we provide Ofsted-registered supported accommodation for young people aged 16–18, working alongside local authorities, commissioners and social workers to create stable placements that focus on both immediate support and long-term outcomes.

Every referral is assessed individually because understanding the young person's circumstances is the first step towards finding the right placement.

We Regularly Discuss Referrals Involving

Our supported accommodation services may be suitable for young people who:

  • Are preparing for adulthood and greater independence.

  • Require structured support within an Ofsted-registered service.

  • Have experienced placement instability.

  • Need support to develop everyday living skills.

  • Are accessing education, employment or training.

  • Would benefit from consistent emotional and practical support.

  • Require a planned transition towards more independent living.

Every referral is considered individually to determine whether Oasis is the right environment for the young person's needs, strengths and future goals.

Our Approach

Every young person arrives with a different story.

Some need time to rebuild confidence. Others need support to develop practical life skills, strengthen routines or prepare for adulthood after experiencing disruption or instability.

Our role is to understand what has led to the referral and work alongside the professionals already involved to determine whether Oasis is the right environment for that young person.

We focus on creating stable placements where young people feel supported, develop greater independence and begin preparing for adult life at their own pace.

Why the Right Environment Matters

A successful placement is about more than the level of support provided.

The environment itself can make a significant difference to how a young person settles, develops relationships and prepares for adulthood. Some young people thrive in a shared setting, while others benefit from a more individual living environment.

That's why Oasis offers different supported accommodation options, helping professionals identify the setting that best matches the young person's needs

Find the Right Environment

Every young person has different needs, which is why Oasis provides more than one supported accommodation setting.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can Oasis support young people following a placement breakdown?

Yes. We regularly discuss referrals where an existing placement is no longer meeting a young person's needs. Every referral is assessed individually to determine whether Oasis is likely to provide a more stable environment.

How do you decide whether supported accommodation is the right fit?

Every referral is considered individually. We look at the young person's current circumstances, support needs and independence goals to determine whether our service is likely to provide the right environment.

I'm not sure whether Riverside Court or Burdett House is more suitable. Can I still contact you?

Absolutely. Our Referrals Team is happy to discuss the referral and help identify which environment is likely to be the best fit.

Can I discuss a referral before all the paperwork is available?

Yes. We understand that referrals do not always arrive with complete information. Early conversations can help us understand the young person's circumstances while further documentation is being gathered.
