Autism & Neurodiversity Placements
Residential Care & Supported Accommodation for Autistic Adults and People with Neurodiverse Needs

Finding the right placement for an autistic adult or someone with neurodiverse needs means understanding the individual, not just the diagnosis.
Oasis Care UK Group works with local authorities, NHS services and other professionals to discuss autism placements, including both residential care and supported accommodation, depending on the person's assessed needs, strengths and goals.
Every referral is considered individually to ensure we can provide the right environment, level of support and pathway towards greater independence where appropriate
We Regularly Discuss Referrals Involving
Our Referrals Team welcomes conversations about adults and young people who may benefit from additional support because of autism or other neurodiverse needs.
Referrals may include people who:
-
Require either residential care or supported accommodation.
-
Have experienced placement breakdowns.
-
Benefit from predictable routines and structured support.
-
Require support with daily living and independent living skills.
-
Have co-existing learning disabilities or mental health needs.
-
Are moving from family care, residential services or other supported environments.
-
Need a placement that promotes long-term stability and independence.
Every referral is assessed individually to determine whether Oasis is the right provider.

Our Referral Approach
We recognise that no two placements are the same. Some people benefit from the structure of residential care, while others are ready for the greater independence offered through supported accommodation. Our role is to work with professionals to determine the most appropriate environment.
During the referral process, we'll work with you to understand:
-
the person's strengths, preferences and support needs
-
communication style and sensory considerations
-
current risks and existing support arrangements
-
previous placements and key learning
-
daily living skills and level of independence
-
longer-term outcomes and future aspirations
Our aim is to understand the individual first before determining whether Oasis can provide the right environment.
Successful placements rely on good communication and realistic planning.
Where appropriate, we work alongside local authorities, health professionals, families and wider support networks to help ensure everyone has a shared understanding of the person's needs, goals and support arrangements.
We believe open conversations during the referral process help create more stable placements and better long-term outcomes.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can Oasis support autistic adults with complex needs?
Every referral is assessed individually. We'll consider the person's support needs, existing risks and whether Oasis can safely provide the right environment and level of support.
Do you provide both residential care and supported accommodation?
Yes. Depending on the individual's assessed needs, referrals may be suitable for either Residential Care or Supported Accommodation. We'll discuss the most appropriate option during the referral process.
Can referrals be discussed before all documentation is available?
Yes. Early conversations are often helpful. If additional information is required before a decision can be made, our Referrals Team will explain what is needed.
What happens if Oasis isn't the right provider?
If we don't believe we're the right provider, we'll explain why. Our aim is to help professionals make informed placement decisions and avoid unnecessary assessments where possible.
