Analdo - Support worker and creative

Who Is Analdo? A Creative Voice at Oasis Care

Analdo is a support worker and creative practitioner whose work sits at the intersection of care and storytelling. Before joining Oasis, he spent years developing his visual style, studying illustration, experimenting with film, and building a name for himself by creating music videos for local artists. Creativity wasn’t a hobby for him; it was a foundation.

“I’ve always been into visuals… it was already part of the pipeline for me.”

But as his creative career grew, Analdo realised he wanted something deeper. Not bigger projects, deeper connections. He wanted his work to mean something to the people he interacted with, not just the audiences who watched his videos.

“I wanted to actually know the community I was working with.”

That desire for real, human connection is what eventually redirected his path and led him into the world of care, where his creative skills didn’t fade, but evolved into something new.

From Derby Artist to Local Filmmaker

Growing up in Derby, art helped Analdo make sense of the world. He studied art and design, then illustration, before realising the stories he wanted to tell needed movement and sound. Filmmaking became the obvious next step.

As his visual style developed, his reputation did too, his videos circulated locally and caught attention of people in the music industry. A move to London expanded his skills, but not his sense of connection. Behind that rising trajectory Analdo made a quiet decision, to step away from the wrong influences in the music industry and pour his energy into building something positive. He wanted more than opportunity, he wanted meaning. So he took the decision to move back to Derby and to rethink his next steps.

That’s when he reconnected with Selvin (Oasis Care Managing Director), someone he had partnered with years earlier on a community awareness campaign for knife crime prevention.

A Different Kind of Creative Role

Selvin asked him to help shape a new project under the companies Care and Education Group CIC, bringing creativity, innovation and community thinking into the organisation. This was the beginning of what would eventually take shape as CEG Creative Studios, a small but passionate creative team working to support Oasis Care and the wider community.

Alongside this creative development, Analdo stepped into a frontline role at Oasis as a support worker. This wasn’t a side job, it was central to understanding the young people he was designing creative projects for.

“It helped me see both sides, not just the ideas, but the real-life challenges behind them.”

This dual perspective changed everything.

How Creativity Became a Tool for Care

Within CEG, Analdo finally had the space to turn creative thinking into projects with real social value.

Working closely with a small creative team, he contributed to:

  • rebranding the organisation

  • media services for families

  • digital solutions during COVID

He also brought creativity directly into day-to-day care through:

  • art sessions

  • filming and photography

  • music exploration

“It gave me room to come up with concepts that actually helped the community.”

And the impact was immediate.

The work wasn’t just about creating activities, it became a way for residents to express themselves, connect with others, and build confidence.

Why Young People Connect With Analdo

Analdo doesn’t try to impress or perform. Young people respond to something much simpler: authenticity.

“If it was just someone who went to uni and came out… it wouldn’t work.” he says, "I’ve seen different sides of life. I can guide people in a way that feels real.”

His lived experience gives him the perspective to meet young people exactly where they are. He’s relatable without forcing it, and professional without being distant. It is this authenticity that is his real superpower, but he’s also honest about the challenges.

“Being accessible is our biggest strength… and our biggest weakness. People depend on us, and we can’t always hold that for everyone.”

He highlights that the reality of meaningful care requires connection, energy and consistency and that's why he continues to show up.

A Creative Approach to Service and Support

At the heart of everything Analdo does, whether he’s filming a memorial, shaping a project, or spending time with a young person, there is a simple intention:

“I like to be of service. That’s what separates us.”

He doesn’t see himself as a saviour or a visionary. He just wants the work to matter, and it does. His creativity isn’t an extra, for many it’s a doorway:

  • a way for young people to see themselves differently

  • a way for families to honour loved ones

  • a way for care to feel human and grounded

Analdo’s Ongoing Impact at Oasis Care

Today, Analdo has become an important voice across both Oasis Care and CEG Creative Studios. Sometimes it’s through a camera. Sometimes it’s through a conversation. Sometimes it’s simply by noticing the small things that help a young person open up.

As he continues his work, his unique style of creativity and care remains central to the impact he has not only on residents, but also staff and the wider community around him.
