At Oasis Care, we believe everyone deserves to feel safe, respected and valued, regardless of their background, identity, beliefs or circumstances.
That is why we are proud to support Derby City Council’s “No Place for Hate” campaign and stand alongside organisations across the city in promoting dignity, equality and inclusion.
The campaign brings together local organisations, communities and professionals with one clear message:
"Hate, discrimination, bullying and harassment will not be tolerated."
For many of the young people and adults we support, feeling accepted and emotionally safe is not something they have always experienced. Some have faced exclusion, prejudice, exploitation or discrimination at different points in their lives. Creating environments where people feel respected, listened to and protected is therefore not an added extra, it is a fundamental part of good care and support.
By joining the campaign, Oasis Care is reaffirming our commitment to:
promoting dignity, equality and mutual respect
challenging discrimination and harmful behaviour
creating safe and inclusive environments
encouraging awareness and reporting of hate incidents
supporting stronger, more connected communities
The campaign also highlights the importance of ensuring victims of hate incidents and hate crime know where to access support, including through organisations such as Stop Hate UK.
In health and social care, the way people are treated matters. Inclusive environments help individuals feel safer, more confident and more able to engage positively with support, education, relationships and their wider community.
We believe communities become stronger when people feel they belong within them.
As providers supporting young people and adults across Derby, we are proud to add our voice to a campaign that promotes unity over division and respect over hate.
"Together, we are stronger. Together, Derby has No Place for Hate."
