Respite Care

Every carer deserves support, and every individual deserves continuity of care.

Supporting You, While You Support Them

We understand the joys and challenges of caring for a loved one with complex needs. Whether it’s a child, teenager or adult, providing care can be physically and emotionally demanding, and it’s okay to need a break.

Our respite care gives families and primary carers the chance to rest, recharge, and take time for themselves, while knowing their loved one is safe, supported, and valued in a nurturing environment.

What is Respite Care?

Respite care is a short-term stay in one of our specialist care homes or supported living settings. It can be planned in advance, perhaps around holidays, work demands or health needs, or arranged in an emergency when circumstances suddenly change.

Whether it’s just a few nights or a few weeks, respite care provides continuity, stability, and the same high level of care your loved one is used to receiving.

Who We Support and

What to Expect

We care for young people and adults aged 16–65 with a wide range of needs, including:

  • Learning disabilities

  • Autism and ADHD

  • Prader-Willi Syndrome

  • Mental health challenges

  • Complex behavioural needs

  • Those who benefit from structure and therapeutic support

Each respite stay is built around the individual, their routines, their preferences, and their goals. We work closely with families to ensure every stay feels like a continuation of the care you give at home.

During a respite stay, your loved one will:

  • Live in a homely setting with 24-hour support

  • Be looked after by trained, compassionate staff

  • Take part in meaningful activities, based on their interests and care plan

  • Have the chance to build confidence, friendships, and independence in a safe space

  • Enjoy meals, routines, and downtime tailored to their comfort and needs

We’re proud to offer both short and long-term respite options, depending on what’s best for you and your family.

Our Approach

Individualised Respite Support

Every person deserves care that reflects who they are, not just their needs, but their routines, preferences, and personality. Whether it’s a favourite bedtime routine or how they like their breakfast, we work closely with families and professionals to provide a seamless experience that feels like an extension of home.

Comfort, Confidence and Continuity

Respite care is more than a break — it’s a chance for individuals to feel safe, empowered, and at ease in a new setting. From day one, we focus on building trust and consistency. Our warm, homely environments and familiar routines help reduce anxiety and provide stability, even during short stays.

Trained Staff with a Therapeutic Touch

Our team is trained in therapeutic frameworks such as PACE (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy) and Positive Behaviour Support. This means we care not just for daily needs, but for emotional wellbeing — offering gentle reassurance, respectful boundaries, and positive reinforcement throughout each stay.
